Anaphylaxis UK AllergyWise School 2026 Award
We are delighted to share that Tettenhall Wood School has been awarded the Anaphylaxis UK AllergyWise School 2026 Award!
This award recognises our commitment to supporting learners with allergies through staff training, raising allergy awareness and promoting a whole-school approach to keeping children safe.
Anaphylaxis UK praised the school, saying:
"Thank you for your commitment to training school staff, raising allergy awareness with pupils and encouraging a whole school allergy awareness approach to help ensure pupils with allergies are safe in school."
In recent years, national guidance around managing allergies in schools has continued to develop, particularly following the tragic death of Benedict Blythe. Schools are now expected to have robust allergy management procedures, staff training and emergency response arrangements in place to help keep learners safe.
As part of our commitment to this, all staff receive allergy awareness training, and we have spare emergency adrenaline auto-injector pens available on site for use in line with statutory guidance and individual healthcare plans.
We are incredibly proud of this achievement, which reflects the dedication of our staff, learners, parents and carers in creating a safe and inclusive environment for everyone.
Tettenhall Wood School will be featured in the Anaphylaxis UK education newsletter and on their website
Thank you for your ongoing support in helping us keep all learners safe.
