- Being on Income-Based Jobseeker’s Allowance.
- Holding an Income-related Employment and Support Allowance.
- Getting support under Part VI of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999.
- Earning Child Tax Credit (without entitlement to Working Tax Credit) with an annual income below £16,190, as assessed by HM Revenue & Customs.
- Acquiring the Working Tax Credit ‘run-on’—a payment one might receive for up to four weeks after ceasing to qualify for Working Tax Credit.
- Securing the Guarantee element of State Pension Credit.
