The Pastoral Team
The Pastoral Team at Tettenhall Wood School: Supporting Every Aspect of Pupil Well-being
At Tettenhall Wood School, the Pastoral Team plays a crucial role in offering multifaceted support to our pupils, both in the classroom and beyond. Here’s a breakdown of what our Pastoral Team does:
- Social, Emotional, and Mental Well-being Interventions: We recognize that a child’s well-being is foundational to their success and happiness. Our team provides and helps implement a wide array of interventions aimed at enhancing the quality of life for our pupils. Whether it’s building emotional resilience or fostering social skills, we’re committed to helping our students thrive in everyday life.
- Intensive Support for Unique Challenges: Some children face difficulties that require more focused attention. Whether they struggle with accessing everyday activities in school or present challenging behavior, our Pastoral Team is there to provide the intensive support they need.
- Positive Behaviour Support Planning: In collaboration with class teams, the Pastoral Team has a significant role in creating, implementing, monitoring, and reviewing Positive Behaviour Support plans. We don’t take a one-size-fits-all approach; our strategies are tailored to the child’s individual needs and aimed at nurturing positive growth.
- Family Liaison: Understanding that support shouldn’t end at the school gates, our Family Liaison Officer is there to help you with various support options. Whether it’s within Tettenhall Wood or in the local authority, we guide families in accessing the resources and help they need.
A Compassionate Approach to Support
At Tettenhall Wood School, the Pastoral Team isn’t just about addressing problems; we’re about building strengths, understanding individual needs, and nurturing a positive, supportive environment for every child and family. It’s about enhancing participation, happiness, and success in all aspects of life.
